Taco Salad Recipe

Shawna and LaLa are in the kitchen this week making one of Shawna's favorite easy meals for dinner; Taco Salad! This makes a great easy meal for dinner, lunch, or if you need a dish to bring to a party, this is always a hit!!


1 Pound Ground Meat

1-2 Packs of Taco Seasoning

1-1/2 Cup of water

3 Cups of Shredded Taco Blend Cheese

2 Cups of Tomatos 2-3 cups of Jalapenos (Chopped)

1 Head of Lettuce (Chopped)

1 Bag of Tortilla Chips (Crunched)

1 16oz Catalina Dressing

1 8oz Sour Cream


In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat chopping it up and until it is no longer pink and then drain. Stir in your taco seasoning and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for about 5 minutes or until it has thickened a bit, stir occasionally. In a large bowl, toss lettuce with cheese, tomatoes, jalapeños and anything else you would like to add in... Add in the beef mixture and crunch up your tortilla chips on top, and pour Catalina dressing on top. Mix it all together in bowl and serve. Add sour cream to the top of your serving if you would like. Enjoy!! :-)
